Flood Member Inspection (FMI)
The flood member inspection is used to detect water inside subsea structure members caused by shell wall defects. Welding defects or small cracks can occur. The flood member inspection (FMI) technique measures the transmitted gamma intensity generated from the gamma source strike to the detector.
